Second International Symposium on Traditional Medicine and Contemplative Practices
New York: Dr Dawa, a former Director of the India-based Tibetan Medical and Astrology Institute, will be one of the keynote speakers of the Second International Symposium on Traditional Medicine and Contemplative Practices scheduled to be held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on 17 and 18 September 2010. Other keynote speakers are Dr Shirley Telles, a renowned Indian scientist specialised in Yoga science who is the principal investigator for the Indian Council of Medical Research at the Center for Advance Research in Yoga and Neurophysiology at the Bangalore-based Swami Vivekananda Yoga Research Foundation, and Dr Tamara A. Russell, a clinical psychologist who teaches at King’s College, London, as well as at Western Psychiatric Institute of Pittsburgh University in the United States.
